Do you provide your employees breaks? Of course, you give them a lunch. You may give them plenty of time to walk away from their tasks. However, you may want to offer something different. For example, put in place a happy hour where you supply the food and drinks and they relax and unwind. These types of opportunities, where you can give your employees a break just as a thank you, can really help people to feel more appreciated. You can even approach a local establishment and rent it out for the night. Get everyone together to have some fun. It is not that expensive but it is an outstanding opportunity for you to interact with your team and say thank you.

Give Out Staff Perks

Do you provide any personal benefits to your team members? If not, you may want to do so. To make this work for you, it is a good idea to focus on what the individual needs rather than the group. For example, if you have a student working for you, pay for their books. If you are unsure what the staff really will appreciate, ask them. Stay in tune with their needs.

Though everyone likes a pay raise once in a while, that is not the only way to give your employees what they want. You need to offer them some type of reward or opportunity that encourages them to stick around and to keep working harder for you.
