Our Hiring Process

At Davis Staffing, we strive to make applying as simple and stress-free as possible. Our staffing professionals will provide personal service to help you find just the right opportunity. Here is how our registration process works:

  1. Application
You may apply online or in person at our office. A Davis Staffing Supervisor will review your application and inform you of any additional requirements at that time. Once all the requirements have been met and all the documentation has been received, if you meet our hiring criteria and demonstrate a strong work ethic, we will invite you in for an interview. However, if there is an immediate position for which you qualify, you may be interviewed at the time you submit your application.

Please bring the following information with you when coming into the office to apply:

    • Résumé.
    • References from your past employers. Please provide contact information for these employers, so we may verify dates of employment and work performance.
    • Bring copies of any certifications or licenses.
    • Any educational documents such as HS Diploma/GED, transcripts, degree.
    • In addition, be prepared to take a drug screen urinalysis test administered by our staff and have a criminal background check performed.
  2. Testing
Testing is required of all candidates. You will complete one or more assessments, depending upon your skill set and interests.
  3. Interview
Davis Staffing is ready to help you meet your career goals. When you come in for your appointment, a professional recruiter will conduct a one-on-one interview to assess your interests, experience, career goals and work preferences. During the interview, a review of your work history and assignments or positions will be discussed, as well as any current openings that may be right for you.
  4. Orientation
Once you are hired, you will complete the required federal and state tax forms and the I-9 form. Two forms of ID will be required – a picture ID: valid driver's license, valid student ID, valid Passport, or valid State ID. For your second ID: your original social security card and/or your original birth certificate. You will receive an orientation outlining the requirements of Davis Staffing as well as the company where you are assigned. At this time, we will review our payroll process and answer any additional questions you have.
  5. Paperwork and Documents
Your file will be evaluated once more ensuring all paperwork has been completed.
  6. Reference Checks / Criminal Background Check / Drug Screen Urinalysis
We will contact previous employers to verify dates of employment and work performance. We also conduct criminal background checks for disqualifying convictions and in some cases a motor vehicle report. Because Davis Staffing is a drug-free workplace, we conduct pre and re-employment drug screens right in our office, when applicable.
  7. Timesheets and Payroll
Timesheets will be provided for your convenience and are designed to track the working hours for each employee on assignment. You will be paid weekly and have a choice of direct deposit, cash card or mailed paycheck. The quickest and most efficient method of receiving your pay is direct deposit. Contact your supervisor for any additional questions you may have concerning timesheets and payroll.

It is the intent of Davis Staffing to employ people who will contribute to the overall growth and success of our company and derive the maximum satisfaction from their work. While employees are selected with care, selection is done without regard for the applicant's race, religion, sex, national origin or non-job related handicap or disability. All of the employment and job related policies of the company are governed by our commitment to equal opportunity for everyone.
